The human form: where does our body come from?

Descriptive

Our human nature questions us, it seems to hide behind appearances! What do we see of her other than her form? But what is behind, inside, before, after? How does experience, the feeling of our deep nature, find the way to a knowledge linking the different aspects of it?

Approaching the human form will awaken us, make us attentive to the world, to others, to ourselves. Being attentive, developing attention, is a precious human quality that opens the possibility of a subtle, intimate perception of the world. If the shape of a simple pebble seems to be the fortuitous result of external events, the shape of a tool is clearly the result of an intention, of an idea. What about a sculpture? of a living organic form? Isn't there an idea behind each form? Every form speaks of a story and carries a brand, a “personality”. Let's think of the shape of an oak or a fir tree. Isn’t this the expression of a “personality”? The form is significant because it reveals a physiognomy and this is why it can constitute an entry point to our study. Furthermore, does this human form still suit us in the evolution of the current world and humanity? Where does it come from? How can we situate it in relation to other living forms, animals, plants?

We will see how both the scientific and poetic-artistic approach can mutually enrich each other through the grace of our childish faculty of wonder.
