It seems that technology is polarizing. On the one hand, it is what stimulates the evolution of civilizations, in particular since the modern era with rationalization, industrialization, the discovery of electricity, etc. Technology is thus the symbol of development, innovation and the emancipation of human beings. But many also feel that technology destroys nature, consumes too much energy and can alienate human beings by distancing them from nature and themselves.

This is why we wish, by going back into the past, by following the course of time, by observing our times and by reflecting together, to deepen this question: what is technology and what does it tell us about the human being and its future?

Louis Defeche

Après une scolarité dans le public en campagne lorraine au cours de laquelle il s’intéresse tôt à la spiritualité et à la poésie, il fait des études de psychologie (Nancy), d’art de la parole et de théâtre (Suisse) tout en étudiant l’anthroposophie. Stages dans l’accompagnement des personnes handicapées (Suisse et en Allemagne) et en hôpital psychiatrique (Alsace). Il est ensuite devenu traducteur (Editions Triades), puis il a intégré l’hebdomadaire d’anthroposophie en langue allemande Das Goetheanum, à Dornach, en Suisse. Parmi ses différents thèmes de travail se trouvent la compréhension et la pratique de l’anthroposophie, l’évolution de la pensée, la poésie ainsi que le rapport entre spiritualité et technologies.

Jonas lismont

Schooling in Steiner-Waldorf schools and at the public high school, studies at Sciences Po Paris. Four years of experience as a communications officer at the Ethiopian Embassy in Brussels. Since 2018, communication and digital development at the Goetheanum (Switzerland). Member of the Council of the Paul Coroze Foundation and co-founder of the online anthroposophical magazine ÆTHER. Follows with great interest the current technological revolutions in the fields of energy, artificial intelligence, blockchain and space.
