Educate in today's world

Descriptive

Hypermedia coverage, disasters, crises of all kinds... In what world do the children born today arrive? To look at this carefully is not to want to plunge into catastrophism, into a pessimism which would be sterile, but it is to give oneself the chance to see how to help the child to grow well, in a world which sometimes goes topsy-turvy. against what we want to preserve, cultivate for its development.

At a time when several studies show that it is difficult for young people to look toward the future with enthusiasm and commitment, how can we give children the strength and desire to immerse themselves in the world?

What do we aim for in the education of a child? What do we hope he can develop?

How can we give him the impetus to want to become a creator and actor in the world of tomorrow?

The essential theme of pedagogy will be addressed through all these questions.

Ludivine lutton

English teacher in public education from 1998 to 2010, Ludivine Lutton discovered Waldorf pedagogy in 2004 and followed weekend training at the Chatou Institute. She enrolled her children in the Mhotte school in 2008 and first gave English lessons there. She becomes a class teacher 3 years later and follows her students for 8 years. Claire Defeche

Claire Defèche discovered Steiner-Waldorf pedagogy at the age of 20, following a traditional school career. After 7 years of study in the fields of science and medicine, she completed the year of training at Foyer Michaël, then finally decided to train in Steiner-Waldorf pedagogy in Stuttgart, Germany. She is now a class teacher (for students aged 6 to 14 years) at the Mathias Grünewald school in Colmar, for almost 10 years. She has also worked in other Waldorf schools in France for various replacements and tutoring, as well as for the French Federation of Steiner-Waldorf Schools, as part of different projects. Since 2022, she has been a member of the Hague Circle, which brings together educationalists from different countries to try to cultivate a broader awareness of the Steiner-Waldorf movement.
