DESCRIPTION

We offer two weeks of Christmas-themed singing at Foyer Michaël. This Christmas theme has inspired composers from all eras (from the 16th century to the present day) and from very different countries (France, United States, Hungary, Belgium, etc.). Some songs will be done in choir, others solo (or even a mixture of the two). Recordings will be sent to all participants. They will allow everyone to get a general idea of the program, but also to choose (if desired) one or the other solo. You will also receive recordings with the voices separated so that you can already prepare the work. To close this internship, an end-of-work presentation will be offered on Thursday 16 December at the end of the day. We look forward to welcoming you for these two weeks of singing and playing around music.

Zoe Pireaux

It was at the Liège Conservatory, where she obtained a didactic master's degree in singing in the class of Véronique Solhosse, that Zoé began her journey as an opera singer. There she discovered contemporary music which she worked with, among others, Jean-Pierre Peuvion, Vincent Royer, Mia Elezovic and François Deppe. Also fond of baroque music, she deepened her learning with Caroline Weynants and Thibaut Lenaerts. Attracted by the theatrical environment and the theater-music link, she performs as a singer in the musical theater show “Lure bleu”, by Cie sansfilter. Her attraction to different musical styles also led her to join jazz projects (Taxìdi with whom she recorded the album “Dreamy Train”) and even experimental projects. In 2016, she joined the Namur Chamber Choir with whom she sang under the direction of Leonardo García Alarcón, Jean-Claude Malgloire, Christophe Rousset and Thibaut Lenaerts.

Pavel Chikov

Passionate about rock, Pavel nevertheless began with classical education before turning to jazz with Fabien Degryse. He then studied at the Royal Conservatory of Liège in the class of Hughes Kolp. Currently, he is particularly interested in sound through the electric guitar within different styles (rock, metal, funk, electro, experimental music, gypsy jazz, free improvisation, etc.).
